senior project architect

Chris believes that crafting what architects consider great architecture is only a small piece of the puzzle. That awareness allows him to play a more collaborative role with clients and consultants and increases the scope and value of his contribution.

On every project, Chris seeks ways to achieve client goals, while also being a voice for those who often aren’t at the table—the end users and public. From his standpoint, reaching those objectives requires a roadmap to success and a champion charged with ensuring the team follows that path. Chris draws on his broad experience to create innovative design solutions, including most recently on senior housing projects catering to assisted living and memory care residents. He is also involved with market‐rate multifamily wrap ventures, and clubhouse/hospitality projects. Among his honors: he earned second place in the Integrating Habitats International Design Competition, was a finalist in the Georgia Tech Thesis Competition Jury and served on the 2007 Georgia Tech Solar Decathlon team.

He has a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Clemson University and a Master of Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology. To help the firm grow its presence in the senior living market, Chris serves as Co-Chair of the AIA’s Atlanta chapter of Design for Aging, on the Board of the NAHB 55+ Housing Council and as local liaison for the Environments for Aging Expo.
