Niles Bolton Associates (NBA) cast members were in Orlando, Florida on Thursday, December 6th to celebrate the groundbreaking of future housing for Disney Internships & Programs, formerly known as the Disney College Program with American Campus Communities and Walt Disney World Resort.

The $628 million residential community, known as Flamingo Crossings, will be delivered in multiple phases with the first phase scheduled for occupancy in May 2020. Expected to be completed by May 2023, the final development will provide 10,400 beds in apartment-style units. Two 25,000-square-foot community centers with expansive fitness centers, social lounges and resort-style swimming pools will anchor each of the two parcels. The Disney Education Center, located on the East parcel, will provide unprecedented integration for program participants to engage in 'uniquely Disney’ learning experiences.

In order to tackle a project of this magnitude, Flamingo Crossings required a true collaboration between NBA’s Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Interior Design studios and the development team. Partners on this exciting development include Walt Disney World Resort, American Campus Communities, contractor FaverGray, M/E/P engineers Jordan & Skala Engineers, and structural engineers Veitas and Veitas Engineers. Congratulations to everyone who helped get the project to where it is today; it truly was a team effort!
