Eat 'Til You Drop Potluck 2023

The smell of freshly roasted turkey and ham mixed with the sweet aroma of baked goods wafting through the halls can only mean one thing—Eat ‘Til You Drop! The annual potluck breakfast and luncheon took place in NBA’s Atlanta and DC offices, and employees (and their appetites) were more than ready this year.

Armed with empty stomachs and Tupperware for leftovers, people showed up to Round One Breakfast hoping to grab the best of the morning goodies before it all disappeared. As employees stacked homemade grits, breakfast casserole and cinnamon rolls on their plates, a debate topic came up in the kitchen centered around one specific meal on the table: Should Pigs in a Blanket be considered breakfast food? “Absolutely not,” said Interior Designer Sam Ingram. “They are meant to be enjoyed as appetizers for lunch or events like tailgates, and you cannot convince me otherwise.”

Luckily, the debate was quickly forgotten when Round Two Lunch rolled around, with the laid-out feast and desserts giving everyone more than enough to talk about. “It was so exciting to see everyone contribute to such an amazing Thanksgiving spread this year,” said DC NBAer and first-time ETYD participant, Madison Asbury. “Feasting with my co-workers and trying out everyone's dishes are memories I won't forget. I'm looking forward to bringing an even better dish next year!”

Multiple treats finished off employees’ palates, but the one that took the cake (literally) was an assortment of cupcakes that spelled out “Eat Till Ya Drop” on the icing. A reminder of the importance of this event—not only to reminisce on what each person is thankful for, but to also enjoy the food. Although the potluck is over, employees still have leftovers to look forward to when they get home!
