'Tis the Season at NBA 2023

Nothing says “Happy Holidays” like tacky sweaters, ample treats and decorated ornaments! NBA had its annual Tacky Sweater Day and The Great NBA Cookie Exchange, with over 30+ Atlanta and DC NBAers bringing in two dozen of their favorite baked goods (homemade or store bought) to pass around to coworkers. Some of this year’s most notable desserts included raspberry blondies, ginger molasses cookies and frosted reindoor sugar cookies.

The sweets were not the only things that got creative. The Atlanta office’s outfits were fashion forward, including Architecture Designer Steven Kane’s Elf sweater with built-in flashing lights and Christmas music, all at the press of a button. Project Architect Michael Mioux proved accessories are everything, turning his holiday ornament into a necklace. Who says an ornament can’t be a statement piece?

Along with the tacky sweaters and cookie exchange, our DC office added one more activity to their holiday itinerary: ornament arts n’ crafts! They customized their office Christmas tree with personal ornaments, some of which included a classic Frosty the Snowman, reindeer at the North Pole, and snowy treetops under a Northern Lights night sky. “I wasn’t aware we had so many Picassos in our office,” commented Architecture Associate Maia Vertrees. “This was my first year participating in the cookie exchange/ornament decorating, and it definitely lived up to the hype! I’m already brainstorming ideas for next year.” We hope everyone enjoys the holidays and has a wonderful New Year!
