Olive & Wooster
New Haven, Connecticut

Summary
A circuitous five-year effort to build a 299-unit, residential/commercial complex linking New Haven’s downtown and Wooster Square neighborhoods moved toward reality when shovels finally hit the ground in March 2019. Working with both the former and current developers, NBA drew inspiration for the studio to four-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom townhouses from nearby brownstones and period architecture. Easily accessible to Union Station, the multifamily complex now provides new housing options for Yale University faculty and grad students, local hospital staff and employees from the area’s start-up businesses. Olive & Wooster played a major role in reconnecting communities, creating a vibrant work, live and play environment.
