Ed Ault, RA
Senior associate

As Ed sees it, a beautiful design goes beyond the appearance of a building. The true measure of success lies in how well residents can thrive with little effort from onsite teams and his analytical approach results in projects that achieve excellence in both form and function.

Having previously worked for a major national developer, Ed collaborated closely with teams architects rarely have access to, like Pre-Construction, Tax, Risk Management, and Operations. The knowledge and driving principles gained through that in-depth experience guide his designs and process. His capacity to discuss controlling risk, portfolio diversification, and long-term asset management with clients, contributes to more thoughtful, efficient, and profitable communities. Looking at projects from the developer’s perspective, Ed asks the critical, timely questions that ensure the team is being proactive rather than reactive to the client’s needs. His primary focus is on residential buildings, including rental communities, mid-rise wrap buildings and work-force housing.

He received a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Architecture from the University of Maryland.
