For Reisha, successful design is contingent on working with people who bring different perspectives to the table. She finds that impressive solutions often arise from the juxtaposition of opposing philosophies.

Commitment and communication with her team and with clients contribute to Reisha’s winning formula. By carefully considering each person’s ideas and opinions, she ensures that everyone becomes a partner in a project’s success. Clients trust her knowledge of applicable codes, her attention to detail and quality control, and her follow through at every stage of the process. She specializes in on and off campus student housing and mixed-use developments. Reisha’s approachable demeanor also makes her a valued mentor for newer hires at NBA.

She holds an Associate of Arts degree in Architecture from Miami Dade College, a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Florida International University and a Master of Architecture from Clemson University. Reisha is a founding member of a mentoring program for young designers at NBA and serves on the Revit committee working to introduce and integrate technological advances throughout the firm.

In defining a project’s scope, scheduling and budget, Melissa relies on her ability to listen and get to the core of client requirements. Along with an attention to oversight and design documentation, she brings a strong background in building codes and construction to ensure solutions meet expectations.

Melissa has more than two decades of experience designing and managing assignments spanning office interiors, educational and retail sites, and kitchen design, with recent work focusing on corporate, multifamily and hospitality projects. Close team communication and collaboration and an insistence on quality assurance are her keys to successful project management.

Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Florida State University. A multiple ASID Design Excellence Award winner, she is a member of the National Council of Interior Design Qualifications and a former member of the International Interior Design Association. As a mentor, she has assisted in developing an internal training program at NBA for interior design. She has also contributed insights on the firm’s risk management procedures.

Drawing on more than two decades of experience tackling long, complicated projects, Rebecca relishes the challenge of weaving together multiple building uses in one structure. It’s a feat she couldn’t accomplish without forming strong relationships with clients, consultants and colleagues.

Shepherding projects from inception through construction, affords Rebecca the opportunity to manage both internal teams and external consultants, and work closely with clients, from large-scale developers to individual homeowners. Throughout her career she has divided her time between hospitality and multi-family residential projects. On branded environments like hotels, she focuses on ensuring that hallmark details and the brand identity are integral to the design and build. When clients’ wish list exceeds the budget, she takes pride in coming up with alternative solutions that can rein in costs. In urban infill, high-rise projects, she has shown flexibility in being able to satisfy significant purchaser customizations.

Rebecca received a Bachelor of Design from Clemson University and a Master of Architecture from Iowa State University. Within NBA, she is involved in growing the hospitality studio and training future leaders.

Ian works from a thorough understanding of site and context to resolve issues and challenges so projects fit within—and draw from—their surroundings. By being open to alternatives and avoiding a one-size-fits-all approach, he can reach innovative design solutions.

In collaborating with different NBA teams, Ian’s skill in tackling large and complex digital modeling helps the firm put its best foot forward. Comfortable dealing with all types of construction and building systems, he makes sure there’s always a through-line that runs from concept to project completion. Primarily, Ian is involved in mixed-use, student housing, and active-adult projects around the country. He has also contributed to a super-sized, campus-housing complex that resembles a small city and a corporate office project. As a leader in digital modeling, he creates new content for the firm and assists colleagues in better modeling and workflow practices.

Ian has over a decade of experience and holds a Masters of Building Construction from the Georgia Institute of Technology and Bachelors of Architecture and Interior Architecture from Auburn University. He also identifies potential talent for NBA through recruiting efforts on local college campuses.
