Sr. Project Landscape Architect

Driven by the desire to become a landscape architect, Hon arrived in the United States from Malaysia and has since seen dream become reality. His passion for graphics, art and design bring innovation and creative ideas that impact the lives of end users.  

Growing up in a different culture and background gives Hon a unique perspective on landscape architecture, one that stresses respect for the environment and seeks sustainable solutions and strategies. His philosophy is built on the idea of protecting the health, safety, and welfare of our communities, and he advises clients on how to manage land in an equitable way that respects the desires of the people most impacted by a project. In realizing a client’s goals, Hon seeks creative ideas that solve a problem with minimum impact to the environment and natural ecosystem and also the budget of the project. His designs have graced multifamily, student and mixed-use housing, and his creations include innovative elevated amenity terraces that function to bring people and communities together. Hon was named 1 of 35 prominent landscape architecture alumni in a book published by his alma mater, Universiti Putra Malaysia.

Hon has worked at NBA since his 2005 graduation from Universiti Putra Malaysia with a Bachelor of Architecture degree.
