After twenty years away from the firm, raising three children, Joyce seamlessly returned to her passion of architecture, quickly flattening the learning curve and letting her design and presentation skills shine again. Her key to project management is knowing how to communicate the client’s vision to her team effectively.

Joyce has a talent for bringing together the right people and providing her team with what they need to create and execute the design elements that can fulfill clients’ goals and budget requirements. As a result, she’s responsible for multiple projects that have received design and livability awards, mainly in multifamily and senior housing communities featuring a variety of amenity buildings and areas. But her gifts don’t stop there. She’s an accomplished artist and watercolorist with work featured in numerous publications, and she still owns a studio specializing in animal and human portraits as well as architectural renderings.

Joyce earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She also holds membership in the American Institute of Architects, American Institute of Architectural illustrations and the Georgia Watercolor Society. As an active participant in NBA’s lunch and learns and roundtable discussions, she focuses on advancements in the evolving nature of multifamily housing.
