New Jersey Institute of Technology - Oak Hall
Newark, New Jersey

Summary
Oak Hall builds on the success of Maple Hall, delivered by NBA in 2022, advancing NJIT’s vision for a more residential campus in the heart of Newark. Developed through a collaborative design-build partnership, the 17-story tower will provide 454 beds within 152 apartment-style units, thoughtfully arranged to promote student comfort, privacy, and academic focus. Replacing a former residence hall and more than doubling its capacity, the project responds to growing housing demand while reinforcing campus density along Summit Street. Its exterior composition of curtainwall, brick, storefront, and metal panels contributes to NJIT’s evolving architectural character and urban presence. Pursuing LEED Silver certification, Oak Hall incorporates energy-efficient systems and responsible material selections, supporting long-term campus growth and environmental stewardship.
