Appalachian State University - Mountaineer Ridge
Boone, North Carolina
Summary
Mountaineer Ridge continues NBA’s work with RISE and Appalachian State University as the fourth phase of student housing created through the university’s P3 program. Located on the 14-acre Appalachian 105 property in Boone, the community will provide 852 beds in four apartment-style buildings designed for upper-division students. A central clubhouse combines fitness, mail and package services, study rooms and communal lounges, giving residents a convenient place to meet and recharge. Two landscaped courtyards offer hammock gardens, grilling stations, turf lawns, fireplaces and varied seating. Positioned beside App State’s track and field, softball and tennis facilities and connected to the main campus by AppalCART, the community balances greater independence with easy access to classes, recreation and university events.
