rambler Blacksburg
Blacksburg, Virginia

Summary
Rambler Blacksburg introduces a mixed-use student community along North Main Street, within walking distance of Virginia Tech and the town’s retail and dining district. The eight-story building provides 247 apartments and townhome units ranging from studios to five bedrooms, offering a variety of living options. A dark gray and red brick podium anchors the base, while a panelized facade above uses contrasting shades to break down the scale of the upper floors and create a layered architectural expression. At street level, the Daydreamer Cafe and additional retail spaces activate the pedestrian experience, while a collection of shared amenities supports study, recreation, and social gathering. The result is a student housing destination that contributes new residential density and street level activity near campus.
