University of Tampa - P3 Residence Hall
Tampa, Florida
Summary
The University of Tampa’s new P3 residence hall expands campus housing capacity while reinforcing the character of the surrounding neighborhood. Developed in partnership with NBA, the building is planned to open in Fall 2028 and will accommodate 833 students in semi-suite style units organized to support smaller residential groupings, with two RA-led communities on each level converging at central shared lounges. Along South Boulevard, the design introduces a centered massing composition with generous setbacks, a welcoming public plaza, and a covered elevated terrace that extends student life outdoors. A palette of “UT Red” brick, EIFS, and rhythmic window patterns aligns with adjacent campus architecture while introducing subtle texture and depth. The main entry is expressed as a contemporary front porch with layered materials, wood accents, and transparency, strengthening connections between interior gathering spaces and the pedestrian realm.
