2023 Summer Interns Visit Loria Ansley in Atlanta Arts District

As we get ready to say farewell to our incredible 2023 summer interns, we wanted to give them a sneak peek of Loria Ansley, our 28-story residential tower currently under construction in Midtown Atlanta! Located in the Atlanta Arts District and Ansley Park neighborhood, an area called “the Most Cultured Square Mile in the Southeast,” the building draws its dynamic inspiration from the Richard Meier designed High Museum of Art and the Savannah College of Art & Design’s “Forty” campus housing complex. The project is defined by a checkerboard pattern of 3-story groupings that skip down the west-side elevation.

The site visit was led by Project Manager Daniel Schlossberg and Interior Designer Anne Mason. A collaboration between NBA’s architecture and interior studios, the group received an overview of the design approach for the mixed-use development. “We were able to get a complete picture of the project from both an interior and architectural perspective,” said Interior Design Intern Emma Coyle.

Walking through the units, the group observed infill-framing, electrical and insulation installation, and the sealing of the walls with gypsum board. Accompanied by Chris Cochran and Tommy Ellis from the general contractor team, Brasfield & Gorrie, they went to the top level to see how a post-tensioned slab is created and poured. “There are so many moving parts to the projects we work on, so it was enlightening to see the amount of people and time it takes to bring a vision to life,” said Architecture Intern Daishalyn Satcher.

Slated for a 2024 completion, the 350-unit project will include luxury studios, one, two and three-bedroom apartments. Renters will have an easy walk to the nearby cultural institutions as well as the convenience of two restaurant spaces at the lobby level, a stunning internal sky bridge leading to collaborative and private co-working spaces, a gym, wine bar, pool with sundeck, and a rooftop bar and lounge with breathtaking views stretching from Buckhead to Midtown.
