Passing the Torch: NBA Interior Design Transitions Leadership

NILES BOLTON ASSOCIATES ANNOUNCES LEADERSHIP TRANSITION IN INTERIOR DESIGN:
STEPHANIE KIRKPATRICK TO RETIRE; MELISSA BORRMANN NAMED NEW DIRECTOR OF INTERIOR DESIGN

ATLANTA — June 3, 2025 — Niles Bolton Associates (NBA), a leading architecture, planning, and design firm, announces the retirement of Stephanie Kirkpatrick, Principal and Director of Interior Design, effective July 1, 2025. Stephanie's retirement marks the culmination of a distinguished career spanning over 40 years in award-winning design, strategic planning, consulting, and leadership. She has been instrumental in developing NBA's interior design practice, bringing a unique perspective from her experiences as an NBA client, head of real estate at a private university, and consultant on large corporate ventures.

Melissa Borrmann, a partner who has been with Niles Bolton Associates since 2012, will step into the role of Director of Interior Design. An IIDA and ASID award-winning designer, Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Florida State University. With more than 20 years of experience across corporate, multifamily, hospitality, educational, and retail sectors, she brings deep technical knowledge and a strong foundation in building codes and construction. Known for her collaborative leadership style and commitment to excellence, Melissa has built lasting relationships with clients through her responsiveness, creativity, and ability to deliver thoughtful, impactful design solutions.
